Volume 9 Issue 1 – “The Best Birthday Present Ever”

The Best Birthday Present Ever

This weekend I received the best early birthday gift ever. I went to the city of Rosario with my daughters Lexi, Bella, and our El Salvadoran missionary intern Josselyn to preach about the baptism of the Holy Spirit at a Kid’s camp; ages 4-14. Just that age span alone scared me to death, but that is the target window. Kids between the ages of 4 and 14 are so open to God’s word and spirit.

That night I spoke about how God wanted to give them a superpower and give them the promised gift of the baptism. I prepared them, we got into groups divided by age, and then we began to pray.

Lexi and Bella began to pray for girls their age; they both have a strong anointing, they are children of the spirit. Lexi prayed with authority and several were baptized, but I want to tell you about one girl in particular; her name is Judith.

Judith was on the floor in prayer for hours. When she got up she had a very confused look in her eye. When she tried to speak only Italian came out. Every time she spoke to Josselyn, her friends, or anyone else she could only speak in Italian. When she was hungry and asked for her food she could only ask in Italian. Then she came up to me and was so excited and I couldn’t understand her, but the joy on her face was a reflection that only God can give. Italian was the tongue that the Holy Spirit gave her! We understood some of what she was saying because Italian is close to Spanish, but it was still a spectacle that lasted into the wee hours of the morning. A little girl about 6 years old came up to me and asked “Miss, is there a cure for Judith?” another girl came up to me and said, “Miss, Judith is speaking in Italian I thought we were going to be baptized in tongues?”

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
Acts 2:17

Bella prayed for a group of 4 girls and persevered for 3 hours until all four were filled. In exhaustion, one of the girls went to sit down. Bella walked over to her and told her, “It’s not time to give up, you’ve got to keep praying.” My spirit was recharged watching child after child be filled. Watching the Lord use Lexi (13) and Bella (10) minister the baptism was a proud moment for this mama!

I also prayed for Mara, a little 5-year-old girl with a contagious smile and joy. Mara put her hand over her heart saying, “Me siento algo muy bonito en mi Corazón”; “I feel something so beautiful in my heart.”

The Bible says, “I will pour out my spirit”.  It doesn’t say I “might” or I “could” no, it says “I will”.

Thanks to God’s plan, along with your prayers and support, I am working in Argentina with my family to raise a generation of children of the spirit who live in a culture of miracles!

Thank you for your role in this amazing journey and our ministries!
