Volume 9 Issue 2 – “It is marvelous in our eyes!”
“The LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Psalm 118:23
Greetings from a cold near-end-of-winter in Buenos Aires!
It has been unbelievable how many ministry opportunities the Lord has brought into our life this term, and unfortunately, the majority of the time, we are so busy working that we do not take time to write about everything. The Holy Spirit has guided this year. The doors have been opening up where we would have never even imagined the year before. We have been amazed day after day at what the Lord has allowed us and our family to be a part of. Therefore, for this newsletter, we decided to just write many brief paragraphs instead of focusing on one big story.
1) Summer Missions Trip to El Salvador
The girls just returned from a month-long missions trip to El Salvador where they worked with multiple USA AIM teams and also visited Grandpa and Grandma Triplett. It was a small financial sacrifice for us to send them, but we know the life-long payoffs of that investment. As many of you know summer ministry in El Salvador always results in thousands of people coming to Christ and for those four weeks they were a part of God’s plan to present the gospel to hundreds of Salvadorans.

2) Empowered21 Global Congress
Earlier this year Michelle was invited to speak at the Empowered21 Global Congress in Jerusalem the third week of May. With more than 4,500 people from 70 nations in attendance it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her. It was an amazing experience as she met and networked with Pentecostals from all over the world. It was incredible to listen to every language possible during the times of worship. She was astonished as she heard essentially the same stories over and over again of the Holy Spirit working in each corner of the world in the same way; including the testimonies shared in her own workshop. Only time will tell as the seeds planted during that week come to pass. Check out this video Michelle presented as part of her workshop in Jerusalem on “Raising a Generation of Children of the Spirit” in Latin America https://youtu.be/ANVsovrmUiY

3) Ecuador
Just two days after her return from Israel Michelle departed for Ecuador. There she was invited to be the speaker at King’s Castle Ecuador’s National Summit Meeting. What a unique opportunity to minister in the country of her birth to the over 80 King’s Castle workers in attendance. Several students were filled with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to reach the children of their own neighborhoods! Check out this highlight video the team there made which includes many clips of Michelle speaking and ministering https://youtu.be/R4fmoF1N6Kk

4) LACC School Programs & Ministry
This term Michelle has taken on the responsibility of being the Latin American Child Care Country Coordinator and has not only handled the business side of coordinating LACC projects, but also has begun doing monthly evangelistic programs in as many schools as possible. Each program is closed with an altar call as well as a time of prayer. Many children come forward for prayer as lives are changed. Check out Alexis’s on-site reporting at the Moreno LACC School in our latest video podcast here: https://youtu.be/QXUat1IOeNo

5) Club Castillo’s First Missions Trip
In January of 2014, Michelle was asked by 1 church to train their King’s Castle team in Club Castillo, the children’s discipleship program of King’s Castle. Not long after training them, other churches in different parts of the country noticed the strong move of the Holy Spirit in that team’s children and asked Michelle to come train their teams. I’m not for sure about the total mileage, but in the last year alone, she has put as many kilometers on our Speed-The-Light vehicle as we did in the first 3 years here (no joke). She has been a busy woman! In Argentina, she led a team for a King’s Castle International Invasion (mission’s trip) to Uruguay where King’s Castle teams from throughout Latin America “invaded” Uruguay and evangelized night and day for an entire week straight seeing hundreds of people accept Christ as their Savior!

6) Radio & TV Ministry Flourishes
While Michelle has been traveling a lot, it’s also been my duty to be “Mr. Mom”. So far we have been able to afford to keep them enrolled in a good international Christian school here in BA. They can’t always go on the training trips or LACC program trips, but do whenever possible. Also, since the CCVida church started having regular services in the new building about a year and half ago, I’ve been there helping to literally install almost every cable and plug for all the sound, lights, and tech, and then train their church volunteer-media staff as we broadcast to over 600,000 residents of the northern zone of Buenos Aires! You can listen to the radio station streaming live on the church’s website at: http://ccvida.org.ar/medios.html, and you can watch the Sunday services streaming live on their site at: http://ccvida.org.ar/tv_vida.html, or view the archive on their YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/buscamosmas

7) Life School of Media Ministry
Last year we also began holding monthly media ministry workshops at the church with 50 students from 5 different churches in our first class! Today I am proud to say that on April 11th the church launched their own weekly media ministry school!

8) Southeastern University Missions Team
Earlier this year, we hosted a mission’s team from Southeastern University; check out the highlight video they made of the almost 2 weeks of children’s ministry and street evangelism https://youtu.be/1dRpOJCE9c8

9) River Plate Bible Institute School of Media Ministry
This past September, we launched the River Plate Bible Institute School of Media Ministry and had 26 students enrolled in our first class! (I’m actually writing right now from our “EMM” offices as class is going on in the other room.) The dream God placed in my heart to train future Latin American media pastors and missionaries is coming to pass before my eyes, and it’s amazing! It’s also been unbelievable to see how God has provided funds for purchasing equipment and providing the space at the Bible school. Check out this teaser video for our fall classes shot during class: https://youtu.be/WjkiQATsD-8
We also recently purchased a full 3-camera video system thanks to a significant donation from the National Women’s Ministries Department. We’ve purchased and built a customized mobile system that will not only meet the needs of the Bible school, but can also be utilized at evangelistic events and other live events, such as national youth convention. This system serves not only the bible school and national church, but also it provides ministry opportunity for the Media Ministry Department students.

10) River Plate Bible Institute School of Children and Adolescents Ministry
Michelle also helped launch a new department here at the Bible school as well, the “River Plate Bible Institute School of Child and Adolescent Ministry.” I believe their enrollment may have set a record as their first class had over 80 students! They were forced to hold the second meeting and all the classes in the chapel because there is no classroom large enough to hold them. AMEN! EMNA was also chosen to be the pilot department for a new River Plate Bible Institute on-line program which all classes are being filmed by our Media Ministry Department and soon we will be filming every department in the school!

We are both excited to be part of new areas in the Bible school. It’s the first time they’ve started a new department since some time in the 90’s I believe, and it’d been incredible to see the excitement it’s generated on campus and the non-traditional students it’s brought in; it’s a very exciting time here!
